Philly Trans March
The very first celebratory Philly Trans March took place at Love Park on October 8, 2011, and was pioneered by a Black transman from West Philly with the help of a mixed race cis woman from Fishtown. Together they curated an incredible committee with folks all across the race and gender spectrums and threw one of the most invigorating celebration’s this city has ever seen.
For over a decade, we’ve gathered together on the second Saturday of every October. From dance parties in the streets of North Philly to pain-filled protests in West, one thing has always remained true: we are better together.
